My superstitious mind always has an issue with Friday the 13th!
Detroit to the Appalachian mountains of North Carolina – that’s my trek to the next shoot. Warming up the truck. Bags almost packed. Raring to get started with three crafts I’m excited to learn more about – wood turning, stained glass and chair making.
10 hours on the road today – Not a problem with the new 2015 F-150. Rides so smooth…the heated seats and steering wheel are spoiling me!
I’ve my producer, Jenny Feterovich and director, Riasa Churina, riding with me today. They say you really get to know someone after a long road trip – so true. And I still like these gals after all the miles we’ve clocked for the show! And hopefully they still like me – ha!
We’re here! Wiped out but so happy to be in the welcoming town of Boone (named for, you guessed it, Daniel Boone). The warmth of the wood fire oven of Lost Provence in downtown is just what we needed – that, and good pizza! But, we’re not off the clock just yet – we review a rough cut of one of our new shows for Season Two at the table on Jen’s computer. We get the edits back to the post-house so they can dig in.
